Two ONDA TECHNO Searchers won Gold and Silver certifications of accreditation at the Patent Search Competitions in 2018!

In September 2018 our searchers won gold and silver certifications of accreditation in the advanced course at the Patent Information Retrieval Competition organized by the Industrial Property Cooperation Center (IPCC).  Mr. Hideki Azegami won the Gold certification and Mr. Yuichiro Nakayama won the Silver certification among 369 participants from all over Japan.

In the Patent Information Retrieval Competition, searchers test their knowledge and skills by conducting actual domestic and foreign searches.  The competition is a well-known way to objectively assess searching ability.

Our searchers consistently win prizes, including:
2018: Gold (1) and Silver (1)
2017: Gold (1) and Bronze (2)
2016: Bronze (2)
2015: Bronze (3)
2014: Silver (1) and Bronze (1)
2013: Gold (1) and Bronze (1)
2011: Prize for top 5% (1)
2010: Second Prize (1)

ONDA TECHNO searchers are required to obtain at least the second grade of the searcher examination held by the Information Science and Technology Association Japan.  These qualifications are a well-respected measure of searching skill.

ONDA TECHNO has its own search department, including an attorney dedicated to search.  If your search is related to opinion work or an appeal, he will be able to provide professional support, and his thorough knowledge of the search process enables smooth searching procedures.  Further, our US attorney and Chinese attorneys can provide opinions on references found in searches.

In September 2017 our searchers won gold and bronze certifications of accreditation in the advanced course at the Patent Information Retrieval Competition organized by the Industrial Property Cooperation Center (IPCC).  Mr. Hideki Azegami won the Gold certification and Messrs. Yuichiro Nakayama and Kazuto Nakamura won the Bronze certifications among 339 participants from all over Japan.  The ONDA TECHNO team also earned fourth prize in the group competition.

Three ONDA TECHNO Searchers Won Bronze Certifications of Accreditation at the 2015 Patent Search Competitions!

imageIn September 2015, three of our searchers won bronze certifications of accreditation in the advanced course at the Patent Search Competition organized by the Industrial Property Cooperation Center (IPCC). 

Our searchers, Messrs. Hideki Azegami, Kazuto Nakamura and Kazuhiro Nakamura won the certifications among 285 participants from all over Japan.  In the Patent Search Competition, searchers test their knowledge and skills by conducting actual domestic and foreign searches.  The competition is a well-known way to objectively assess searching ability.

 2011: Prize for top 5% (1)

imageThe Patent Search Competition organized by the Industrial Property Cooperation Center (IPCC) was held on October 26,
2013 in Tokyo and Osaka.  Participants competed in patent invalidation and validity searches to find prior art references that could be used to invalidate a selected patent.  The advanced course is targeted at professional patent searchers and is a competitive course.  Only participants who got excellent results received Gold certificates of accreditation.  Six among 175 participants of the advanced course received the Gold certificates of accreditation.  Our searcher, Mr. Yuchiro Nakayama, was certified as a Gold accreditation participant.  Mr. Yoshinari Shindo received a Bronze certificate of accreditation.

The National Center for Industrial Property Information and Training provides Patent Search Competition every year.  The Patent Search Competition is held to evaluate the abilities of patent searchers and to enhance incentives for patent searchers in Japan.  The searchers compete in abilities and techniques in comprehensive patent searches using keywords and classification, screening ability, recognitional capacity of the search results, abilities to analyze information from the search results and ability to provide advice based on the search results.  In 2010, 169 patent searchers attended the competition, and 148 people attended in 2011.  Our searcher, Mr. Yuichiro Nakayama, won a prize in both 2010 and 2011 in this competition.
